L'Orchidée is the only Michelin-starred Thai restaurant in France — an editorial distinction unique in European gastronomy. Chef Chatchai Klanklong (with brother Kriangkai and mother Khai) relocated in April 2025 from Altkirch to a 1610 Renaissance mansion in Ensisheim, creating a 4-star hotel with custom-designed kitchen, Thai massage spa, and one of France's finest Thai restaurant wine cellars (400-500 bottles, rated among France's best by Terre de Vins). No à la carte — only surprise tasting menus (4-course €95, 6-course €125, 3-course lunch €55) combining classical Thai technique with French luxury: blue crab rillette, langoustine tartare with Kristal Kaviari caviar, soft-shell crab tempura, and rose of marinated red tuna.
