Le 7ème Continent in Rixheim has held its Michelin star for 10 consecutive years under Laurent Haller (Loiseau-trained). His menu changes entirely each month, responding to the season's produce with a Michelin-described 'ode to the market and local produce'. Rixheim veal, split peas from Petit-Landau (3km away), langoustine on buckwheat pancake, pike-perch with watercress and Alsatian smoked pork shoulder (schiffala), and a feuilleté tart with walnut cream and Gianduja chantilly are the signature preparations. The accessible lunch menu (from €25) and seasonal tasting menus make this a versatile address near the Swiss and German borders.

- Cocktail des 7 Continents — Spirits from Seven Regions (16) — Le 7ème Continent's signature cocktail: a cocktail built with spirits from 7 different world regions — Alsatian Mirabelle eau-de-vie (base), Japanese Yuzu liqueur (accent), Peruvian Pisco (texture), Irish Poitin (wildcard), Australian Lemon Myrtle gin (botanical), American bourbon (structure), and Moroccan orange flower water (aroma). Shaken and served over a single large ice sphere. The cocktail is Haller's statement that the restaurant — named for the 'seventh continent' of human imagination — exists in a world of connections.
