- Gewurztraminer de Riquewihr — Hugel Grand Cru (19) — The wine that put Riquewihr on the world map: Gewurztraminer from Hugel & Fils (one of the most famous Alsatian wine families, based in Riquewihr since 1639). The Hugel Gewurztraminer Grand Cru comes from the Schoenenbourg and Sporen sites — two of Riquewihr's best-positioned slopes, producing wines of extraordinary aromatic richness and body. Brendel's most important wine pairing: the Grand Cru Gewurztraminer with his foie gras and aged Munster preparations.
- Pinot Noir de Riquewihr — Village Red Wine (13) — La Table du Gourmet's house red: Pinot Noir produced in the Riquewihr commune itself — rare, because Riquewihr is overwhelmingly white wine territory (Riesling and Gewurztraminer), but a small amount of Pinot Noir is grown on the less sunny parcels. Brendel works with a single local producer who makes a Pinot Noir of delicate cherry character that serves as the natural red pairing for veal and lamb preparations at the table.
