Auberge Chez Guth received its first Michelin star in March 2025 — a recognition of Yannick Guth's decade of building a genuine mountain inn in Steige, a Vosges village of ~300 people. Guth trained under Marc Haeberlin and Emmanuel Renaut (3★) before opening his farmhouse inn in 2015. His 'Menus Altitude' (4-course €50 / 8-course €132) draw on wild foraging: whitefish in seaweed, cromesquis of pheasant with mountain lovage, perch with verbena, and asparagus ice cream.
