About Yannick Guth
Yannick Guth is a native of the Villé Valley who trained with Marc Haeberlin (Auberge de l'Ill), Emmanuel Renaut (3★ Flocons de Sel, Megève), and Sébastien Sevellec. He opened his farmhouse inn Auberge Chez Guth in 2015 in Steige — a Vosges mountain village of around 300 inhabitants. Gault & Millau named him 'Young Talent of the Year 2017'. His Michelin star was awarded in March 2025, making him one of two new Alsace stars that year (alongside Jean-Paul Acker at La Cheneaudière). His cooking is hyper-local: wild foraged herbs, flowers, and mushrooms from the Vosges, lake fish (pike, perch, whitefish), and mountain game.
