About Massimiliano Alajmo

The Alajmo family has operated Le Calandre since 1981, carrying on a culinary lineage rooted in Venetian and Paduan tradition. Massimiliano's philosophy — 'taste memory' — connects modern creativity to family inheritance.

Massimiliano Alajmo, born 1974 in Padua, is the fifth-generation chef of Le Calandre. He took over the kitchen from his mother Rita Chimetto at age 19 and became the youngest chef in history to earn three Michelin stars, achieving the third star in 2002 at age 28. His cooking marries classical French rigor with radical ingredient-led invention.
