Born 1984 in Amsterdam. Grew up near Vondelpark; spent weekends on family farm in Belgian Ardennes. Studied at Hotelschool The Hague. SVH Master Chef 2017. Gault&Millau Chef of the Year 2025. Founded Low Food Movement (2019) promoting sustainable Dutch cuisine. Also leads Wils (1 star) and Wils Bakery Café. Author of multiple cookbooks. Columnist for Het Parool. Known for 'Cuisine of the Low Countries' celebrating Dutch heritage and local ingredients.
