About Toshiya Kadowaki
Toshiya Kadowaki grew up in a family that ran a sushi restaurant, naturally gravitating toward the culinary world. He joined the high-end kaiseki restaurant Koshi in Roppongi before training at Tsukiji Umemura under Fukichiro Mogi. At age 27 he became head chef of the Nishinippori branch. After further refining his craft at Kamogawa and Uientei, he opened Azabu Kadowaki at age 40.
