About Ryujiro Nakamura
Born in 1986 to parents running a Chinese restaurant in Tokyo. Apprenticed at Aoizushi in Kanazawa for five years, trained at several Ginza sushi restaurants including two years at Sushi Hagihara. Became head chef at two-Michelin-starred Umi after mentor Mitsuyasu Nagano's passing, running it for four years before opening Sushi Ryujiro in 2019.
