About Ludovic Kientz
Ludovic Kientz trained at Au Crocodile in Strasbourg under legendary three-star chef Émile Jung — working every station (sauces, seafood, meat, pastries) across years of classic French formation. He opened Au Gourmet in late 2018 after taking over the former Auberge du Gourmet and earned his Michelin star alongside the Gault & Millau Jeunes Talents 2020 prize. His sommelier and service director Sandie Ling (who trained with Michel Bras and won the Trophée Jeune Talent Service en Salle 2022) completes an extraordinary kitchen-dining room duo. The restaurant's strength is seafood and sauce work — scallops from Dieppe, wild garlic from nearby forests, game from the Vosges, herbs from the kitchen garden.
