About Jonathan Seiller

Vinha ('vineyard' in Portuguese) is set in the heart of the port wine lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia — across the Douro from Porto. Seiller's menus are framed by the wines: the structure of the tasting menu mirrors the progression of a wine flight through the Douro's extraordinary portfolio of red, white and port.

Jonathan Seiller is the resident chef at Vinha Restaurant in the Vinha Boutique Hotel, Vila Nova de Gaia, which earned one Michelin star in the 2025 Michelin Guide Portugal as one of eight new star recipients. His cuisine celebrates the wine heritage of the Porto region, pairing contemporary cooking with the Douro's exceptional wines.
