Jean-Michel Feger has cooked at Il Cortile since 2001 and taken full ownership in 2018. His restaurant sits in one of Mulhouse's most beautiful historic spaces: the 16th-century Cour des Chaînes, a pedestrian courtyard surrounded by medieval ramparts — with a summer terrace shaded by orange and lemon trees. Feger's cuisine is distinctly Mediterranean-Italian: saffron risotto with squid, ravioli with lobster and morels, turbot poached in yellow wine, and limoncello baba with bergamot sorbet.
