About Bernd Knöller

Grew up in southern Netherlands. Visited 2-Michelin-star restaurant at age 14, sparked culinary passion. Started helping in friend's bakery at age 6. Worked as sous chef at Restaurant RIJKS under Joris Bijdendijk. Joined Richard van Oostenbrugge at Bord'Eau. When van Oostenbrugge left for Restaurant 212 in 2018, van Kranen took over. Rebranded as Flore September 2021 with dairy-free, plant-forward philosophy. Regained 2 stars 2022. Green Star for sustainability. Japanese influences with biodynamic focus.
