About Angelos Lantos

Spondi opened in 1996 in a neoclassical Pangrati mansion and has been Athens' most acclaimed fine-dining restaurant for nearly three decades. Under Lantos, its two Michelin stars represent the summit of Greek classical-contemporary cuisine — a benchmark for the country's gastronomic ambitions.

Angelos Lantos, born 1972 in Messolonghi, Greece, has been Head Chef at Spondi since 2005 and is the first Greek chef to earn two Michelin stars. He serves as Executive Chef of Conrad Athens and is one of Greece's most celebrated culinary figures, known for a classical-modern fusion style that marries French technique with Mediterranean ingredients.
