Shamim Ehsani founded Hero Bar on the 9th floor of Nairobi's Trademark Hotel in Gigiri. Under F&B general manager Richard Barrow and head bartender Monica Riungu, the bar earned Best Bar in Africa at the World's 50 Best Bars. The team is committed to East African ingredients — berbere spice, baobab, passion fruit, hibiscus, Kenyan coffee, and local ferments.
