Self-taught chef who transitioned from competitive skiing and diplomatic studies. Took over Hiša Franko in Kobarid in the early 2000s, transforming the traditional inn into a globally acclaimed destination. Named World's Best Female Chef in 2017, featured on Netflix Chef's Table 2016. First Slovenian restaurant to receive three Michelin stars (2023).
